Bogey’s Best

Things aren’t always peaches and cream or all good in the hood.  Blanket statement, I love our membership but we have had a rough stretch over the past few days.

Ok, little dramatic, but it’s been hot, dry and stressful.   First, over the weekend we had members hit into a staff member while hand watering a green in the afternoon.  No respect for the responsibility of keeping greens healthy during the summer and more importantly no respect for the staff members safety.  Luckily, most members aren’t tour worthy and no damage was done.  I’ve always said the safest spot is on the green.

Today, a blemish on one of our putting greens was discovered.  I’ve had my fair share of three putts but have never took it out on the green.  A $10,000 chemical program and 60+ hour work week can’t protect against arrogance.

And all of this while there are particular members and groups that continue to drive circles in the rough day in and day out.  I know we have handicap flags available but I don’t think they produce privledged flags so let’s follow the rules and we will all get along.

A big thanks to all that support, respect and protect what we do and ask of day to day.  We spend a lot of time and effort on the property of BHCC while away from our own family and friends.  We miss out on family time, vacations, Father’s Day gatherings and more to provide BHCC membership with the best experience each possible day.
