Dark to Dark

Today we put in a long 14 hour work day aerating our putting greens.  At 6am we got equipment staged and ready.  By 630am greens were being mowed to get surface moisture disturbed with our aerating machine right behind.  Many full shovels of aeration cores later and 13 holes were completed.  Topdressing sand, blowing and brushing filled in the holes and smooth rolling the greens was our final steps as the sun gave way to night at 8pm.  A great acomplishment in one single day that was also the coldest day I have ever aerated greens in my entire career.  Crazy.  Only holes 1-6 are left for us tomorrow!
