Blown Away

Hope everyone had a great holiday!  I was out of town for the week and now trying to catch up with things!  While I was gone we had a day of supercharged winds followed by 2 inches of rainfall a few days later!  This resulted in a massive leaf drop on the golf course.  Most trees have shed all their leaves and we’re ready to put the wrap on the leaf cleanup for the year!

The rainfall caused some minor washouts in bunkers.  We are battling the freeze thaw cycles in the mornings and afternoons.  Most bunkers have been frozen in the a.m. and doesn’t allow for much time in the p.m. for working over.  We are chipping away!

During frost delays we have started working on removing the yews that overhang the cart path at #2 tee complex.  Eventually the tree will go too and we will be reworking the area on the right side of #1 green!
