Starting Point

As scheduled, we broke ground on the bunker renovation today!  All three bunkers on hole 7 had their drains exposed and examined.  2 of the 3 bunkers passed the test.  The one other bunker will have to be redone completely.  Irrigation lines were also mapped out so we can start digging safely tomorrow. 

Look at all that sand!!! Two foot of old layered sand in the bottom of the fairway bunker.  You can even see a large layer of white sand fossilized at the bottom.  It blows my mind when I see this.  Sand doesn’t just disappear, adding more sand doesn’t solve anything.  This will take us longer to excavate due to the excess amount of sand that needs removed.
