Along the way, I played with my new iPhone a bit and took some pretty cool videos!
Here is a slow motion shot of our greens aerification machine which I estimated poked over 4 million holes into our 2.5 acres of greens. While that is a lot of holes, we only disturbed about 7% of the entire putting surface.
After all the cores were cleaned up we proceeded to fill the open holes with new sand. The process of removing cores rich in organic matter and replacing with fresh sand helps in many ways described in previous post. Here is a time lapse of brushing the new sand into the greens profile!
Finally, here is a time lapse video of walk spreading fertilizer on the greens today. We spread a half-rate in two directions to promote consistent coverage without overlaps or misses.
