Frozen In Time

After an extended time away from work for the holidays and a deep freeze, I’m back at.  My guys stayed busy and stayed warm.  We have continued that trend upon my return.  About the only thing we can focus on while the ground is frozen is tree removal.

The Cypress tree next to #13 green was removed.  This tree made the blog a couple months ago as we removed the cypress knots from the greens surface.  Leaving this tree would have only ensured more knots in the green and more headaches for us.

Other trees taken down include a dead tree near the creek on #12, a dying Maple left of #3 fairway, a dead Cottonwood near the bentgrass nursery and a dying Elm behind #11 green.  A few large trees will be taken down by a contractor in the near future.

The guys continue to chip what we can along the way!
