Poa Control

Every year we treat all of our zoysia grass fairways, tees and greens surrounds for weeds.  Our target is any cool season grass that is growing in the zoysia grass.  Zoysia is a warm season turf variety that goes dormant in the winter months.  While it is yellow and dormant the plant doesn't absorb any chemicals.  Cool season turfgrass varieties are still green and photosynthesising which results in absorbing chemicals.  This allows us to knock out most cool season varieties  before the zoysia wakes up for the season.  The end goal is to provide a monoculture of zoysia for consistent playability.

Pictured is some dieing poa annua plants located in our zoysia green surround.
